) North Sumatra (North Sumatra) searched the PT Indonesia Asahan Aluminum (Inalum) office in the Kuala Tanjung area, Batubara Regency.
The search was to investigate allegations of corruption in the sale of aluminum in 2019 to a private party, namely PT PASU Tbk.

“Today the investigative team conducted a search as a further step to deepen the investigation regarding the alleged criminal act of corruption,” said Acting Head of the North Sumatra Prosecutor’s Office, Indra Ahmadi Hasibuan, in Medan, Thursday (13/11).
Indra explained that the search was carried out based on a search warrant from the Medan District Court Number: 14/Pen.Pid.Sus.TPK-GLD/2025/PN.Mdn, which was then followed up with a Search Warrant from the Head of the North Sumatra Prosecutor’s Office Number 16/L.2/Fd.2/11/2025 dated November 5 2025.
“This case relates to alleged irregularities in the sale of aluminum by PT Inalum to PT PASU Tbk in 2019. Investigators are currently still carrying out in-depth investigations to reveal the parties responsible for this alleged case,” explained Indra.
Indra said the search took place from 10.30 to 16.00 WIB in several rooms including the Director of Finance, Director of Strategic Services, Director of Production, Director of Managing and Business Development, Director of Human Capital, Head of the Logistics/Procurement Department, as well as the archive storage room in the PT Inalum office building.
“From the results of the search, the investigative team succeeded in confiscating a number of important documents in the form of letters of delivery and sales of aluminum products by PT Inalum to private parties, financial reports and other documents which are suspected to be related to the criminal act being investigated,” he explained.
These documents, he continued, include, among other things, the sales process from the planning stage to payment of the proceeds from the sale of aluminum products by PT Inalum.
“After this search, it is hoped that the evidence obtained can improve the investigation process and make case handling clearer,” explained Indra.
