) West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) marathonly examined witnesses in the debt case that arose during the Motocross Grand Prix racing event (
MXGP
) Lombok in 2023.
Assistant for Special Crimes at the NTB Prosecutor’s Office Muh Zulkifli Said in Mataram, Lombok, confirmed the marathon examination of witnesses in the investigation status of the debt case which stemmed from the alleged misappropriation of sponsorship funds from PT Bank NTB Syariah.

The witnesses who entered the investigation radar at this stage of the investigation came from parties involved in the extreme motorbike racing sport activity.
Some of them range from the management of PT Bank NTB Syariah, activity organizers from PT Samota Enduro Gemilang (SEG), event organizers from PT Carsten Indonesia, to private parties who feel they have not received payment for carrying out activities that took place in the former Selaparang Airport field, Mataram City, and the Samota area, Sumbawa Regency.
“Yes, we will check everything related. One by one first,” said Zulkifli.
He emphasized that the NTB Prosecutor’s Office in handling corruption cases remains based on legal procedures.
If a criminal incident is found that leads to someone’s actions, the prosecutor’s office will take legal action.
“We will clean up whoever is involved,” said Zulkifli.
This investigation step in the Special Crimes Division of the NTB Prosecutor’s Office is based on the issuance of an Investigation Order Letter from the Head of the NTB Prosecutor’s Office Number PRINT-14/N.2/Fd.1/10/2025 dated 8 October 2025.
As a regional bank, PT Bank NTB Syariah in this extreme sports event is recorded as providing full support by providing sponsorship funds reaching billions of rupiah.
This case came to the prosecutor’s desk due to the commotion from the private sector involved in the event.They claim they have not received payment according to the cooperation agreement.
The payment, which later became a record of the government’s debt to dozens of third parties, is thought to have reached IDR 8 billion.
