“There has been a decline, this is progress,” he said when confirmed in Jakarta, Wednesday.

Based on data held by Osmar, there were 1,047,107 flood and landslide victims who took refuge in several evacuation posts and tents on Monday (8/12).
Osmar believes this is a sign that some of the victims are slowly starting to move to their homes to return to their activities.Osmar said all personnel would still be deployed to deliver logistics, open land routes and maximize the evacuation process at disaster locations.
Osmar also ensured that all transport aircraft, TNI helicopters and warships would continue to be deployed to distribute logistical aid to disaster victims in North Sumatra, West Sumatra and Aceh.
Previously, the death toll from flash floods and landslides in Sumatra reached 969 people.
The data was quoted from the BNPB Flood and Landslide Emergency Disaster Management Dashboard in Aceh, North Sumatra, West Sumatra on Wednesday (10/12) at 09.23 WIB.With details of Aceh as many as 391 people, North Sumatra 340 people, and West Sumatra 238 people.
Apart from those who died, BNPB also recorded that 262 people were still missing.
