FIFA
officially announced Indonesia as one of the hosts
FIFA Series 2026
which will be held in March and April next year.
This is a continuation program of the FIFA World Series, FIFA’s biennial football competition which brings together national teams from different confederations on FIFA Matchday.
This means that Indonesia has the opportunity to meet the best teams in the world outside the Asian Football Association (AFC).The Garuda squad has the opportunity to face good teams from Europe.

The inaugural edition will be held in 2024, involving six series from the 24 teams involved.All participants were divided into six groups with four contestants each and six hosts.
The success of the 2024 FIFA World Series has made the International Football Federation decide to hold a FIFA Series next year for men’s and women’s football teams.Indonesia is confirmed as one of the hosting teams for the men’s team.
“The FIFA Series aims to open development opportunities for players, coaches and supporters, while promoting the unity and diversity of football through meaningful matches,” said FIFA President Gianni Infantino on the official FIFA website.
“By connecting countries through competition, the FIFA Series aims to strengthen the sport at every level, to bring local communities to the global stage,” said Infantino.
Many interested countries are willing to be hosts, but FIFA has determined which countries are suitable to be hosts.
“The men’s FIFA Series will be held in Australia, Azerbaijan, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Mauritius, Puerto Rico, Rwanda and Uzbekistan,” said FIFA’s official statement.
Meanwhile, the women’s FIFA Series will make its debut next year.Brazil, Ivory Coast and Thailand will host.
