“For this reason, OJK has prepared a policy

with two main approaches, namely
initial free float
and
continuous free float
,” said Chairman of the OJK DK Mahendra Siregar in a meeting with Commission XI DPR RI, Wednesday (3/12).
However, Mahendra said that OJK policies cannot stand alone.The government must also take part, for example by providing incentives for companies to provide more floating shares.
“OJK is also preparing supporting steps in the form of strengthening the domestic investor base, integrating global standards, as well as simplifying corporate actions so that the process of adding

does not become an administrative burden.”OJK also regulates a combination of incentives and compliance so that implementation is fair and effective,” he explained.
Mahendra also asked permission from Commission XI board members to provide input, especially regarding providing appropriate incentives so that the Indonesian capital market is more inclusive and attractive to long-term investors.
