First,
the implementation of credit restructuring from banks and financing from all existing financial institutions.”Whether it is multi-finance financial institutions, microfinance institutions, and everything in between,” he explained at a press conference at the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (16/12).
“Valid for 3 years, for all provinces (Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra) with all credit size limits,” he continued.
Second,
OJK emphasizes that the credit status granted by restructuring is considered
current
or smoothly. This relief allows disaster victims to apply for new credit or financing, according to their needs.
Third,
restructuring for credit with a value of up to IDR 10 billion.
Mahendra said that in the future only one pillar will be determined, aka based on the smoothness of repayment, so there is no need for other additional requirements.
However, Mahendra emphasized that this relief does not mean whitening or eliminating credit.
On the other hand, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto emphasized that there would be special relaxation for people’s business credit (KUR).The government is even said to be preparing a special government regulation (PP) to accommodate this.
“Specifically regarding KUR, a separate PP will be made for 3 provinces, Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra,” explained Coordinating Minister Airlangga regarding KUR relief for disaster victims.
President Prabowo Subianto’s subordinate emphasized that the government would also map the impact of the disaster on debtors. There are at least 2 mapping phases.
The first mapping phase will be carried out from December 2025 to March 2026.
“The debtor will not pay the installments, and the distributor will not accept the installments and will not submit a claim, and the guarantor or insurance will not submit a claim,” stressed the coordinating minister.
Next, the second phase is the relaxation of the obligations of existing KUR debtors.Airlangga said this was related to debtors whose businesses could not continue at all, where there would be a relaxation period until the potential for KUR debt to be written off.
On the other hand, the Indonesian government will also provide KUR relaxation to other parties besides disaster victims.
“This is an extension of the tenor or it could also be an addition to credit or supplementation. Then, there are also interest subsidies and margin subsidies which apply for 2026 at 0 percent and 2027 at 3 percent,” he explained.
Airlangga explained that for new debtors, the interest rate was set at 0 percent in 2026 and 3 percent in 2027. In the following year, the interest rate returned to normal to 6 percent.
