Ole Romeny
, expressed gratitude to be able to return to playing for
Oxford United
after previously being absent for quite a long time due to injury.
Ole Romeny previously suffered an ankle injury in the 2025 President’s Cup pre-season tournament last July.This injury prevented him from defending the Indonesian National Team on FIFA Matchday in September.
After recovering, Romeny returned to play in the matches against Saudi Arabia and Iraq in the fourth round of the 2026 World Cup in October.

Unfortunately, the presence of the 25 year old striker was not able to get Indonesia through to the 2026 World Cup. Garuda’s progress stopped in the fourth round after losing to Saudi Arabia and Iraq.
Romeny immediately returned to England after Indonesia was confirmed to have failed to qualify for the final round.He finally got the chance to make a comeback with Oxford.

Romeny came on as a substitute in the 81st minute in a match that ended 0–3 to Oxford’s defeat.
“Even though we lost, it feels good to be able to wear this jersey again and return to the field after a long time. Thank you for the warm welcome,” Romeny wrote on Instagram.
