, last week was the person who tried to stop the perpetrator’s actions.
The 57-year-old man’s surname is Yu.He was stabbed to death by a knife when he tried to stop a bomb attack on a subway train in Taipei, Taiwan.

The attacker, identified as 27-year-old Chang Wen, threw smoke bombs and carried out a knife attack that killed at least three people and injured as many as 11 people.
Quoting the Taipei Times, The Straits Times reported that Yu tried to stop Chang’s action, but ended up being stabbed and died.
According to National Taiwan University Hospital, Yu suffered a 5 cm deep wound that penetrated from the right lung to the left artery of the heart.
Yu’s family will receive NT$5 million (around IDR 2.6 billion) in funds through the Taipei Rapid Transit Corp insurance scheme.
Meanwhile, during the incident, a witness saw the victim fall unconscious when Chang went berserk.
“Remember to tell my parents that I love them,” said the victim, as local residents tried to help.
The witness then learned that the victim had died and managed to pass on the last message to the family after being contacted by the victim’s co-workers.
After the incident, local authorities created a contact service to provide psychological assistance and legal consultations for the injured victims and the families of the dead.
A lawyer will also be assigned to each injured victim as well as the family of the deceased to assist with the insurance claims and compensation process.
Meanwhile, Taiwanese President Lai Ching-te stated on Saturday that the government would strengthen police presence in crowded locations.
He also ensured that law enforcement officials responded quickly to disturbances.
