Opensignal releases User Experience report

in the quarter of 2025. So, who will be the champion?
According to Opensignal’s records, Telkomsel is the superior operator in various categories, with Indosat and XLSmart both winning in 3 categories.

Opensignal Principal Analyst Robert Wyrzykowski said Telkomsel excelled in uploads and downloads, both within the 5G network and overall.
“Telkomsel has widened its lead over competitors in terms of 5G Download and Download experience thanks to significant speed improvements,” he said in a report released last week.
Then, Telkomsel also succeeded in replacing Indosat as the winner in the Quality Consistency category with a score of 72.4 percent, an increase of 6 percent compared to the previous period.
Telkomsel also excels in the video experience, both using 5G and overall.
“All telecommunications operators in Indonesia received a rating of Good (58-68) for Experience Using Video, Very Good (68-78) for the 5G Experience Using Video category,” wrote Wyrzykowski.
Meanwhile, Indosat was the winner in the Network Reliability Experience category, because this operator won the Reliability Experience award with a score of 877 points on a scale of 100-1000 points.
Meanwhile, XL was the winner in the Voice Application Experience category with a score of 80.7 points, slightly ahead of IM3 which got 80.6 points.XL’s success in the Voice Application Experience also occurred on the 5G network.
Overall, Telkomsel dominated the list of winners by winning in 10 categories directly and one jointly.This figure increased from 7 categories directly and one together in the previous report.
IM3 won three awards directly for Gaming Experience, Time on Network, and Reliability Experience, while XLSmart was the sole winner for both Voice Application Experience categories and shared the winner’s podium with Telkomsel for the 5G Gaming Experience category.
Wyrzykowski said XLSmart quickly expanded its range of services after the merger.Through the National Roaming and MOCN initiatives, the company has expanded its 4G coverage in eastern Indonesia, Kalimantan and throughout Bali.
