, on Tuesday (11/11) at around 15.25 WITA.
The ship on the Ketapang-Gilimanuk Port route ran aground at a distance of 1.81 Nm from the Gilimanuk Port pier or right at coordinates LKP 8° 7’50.04″S -114°26’19.62″E.
“The information we received was that the ship carrying 69 people departed from Ketapang Harbor at 14.30 WITA,” said I Nyoman Sidakarya, Head of the Denpasar Search and Rescue Office, Wednesday (12/11).

The incident report was submitted by the Gilimanuk Navy at 15.40 WITA.Of the total number of Person Over Board (POB), there were 13 crew members (ABK), 3 followers and 53 passengers.Following up on the report, 9 personnel were dispatched from the Jembrana Search and Rescue Post to Gilimanuk Harbor.
After half an hour of travel time, they arrived at Gilimanuk Harbor and immediately moved the Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) 01 Gilimanuk.
“There have been several defense equipment (main equipment) deployed including one unit of KP Tanjung Rening Polair Jembrana Police), 1 unit of RIB Brimob Company C Gilimanuk and KP V 49 Harbormaster of Gilimanuk Port,” he added.
The evacuation process was carried out in light rainy weather conditions.Finally, at 17.15 WITA, all passengers were successfully evacuated to Gilimanuk Pier.
“And everyone was safe. Not long after, the ship was towed with the help of a tug boat,” he said.
