provide attention regarding the phenomenon of bullying cases or
bullying
which is allegedly still prevalent in educational environments.
Prabowo emphasized that cases of bullying in educational environments must be addressed.
This was conveyed by Prabowo in response to news of a bullying case that occurred at SMP Negeri 19 South Tangerang, Banten, which resulted in fatalities.

“We have to overcome that,” he said during a visit to SMP Negeri 4 Bekasi, West Java, on Monday (17/11).
Previously, MH, a victim of bullying at SMPN 19 South Tangerang, died while receiving treatment at Fatmawati Hospital, South Jakarta.The victim died on Sunday morning (16/11), after undergoing treatment for a week.
MH, a grade 7 student at SMPN 19 Ciater Serpong, a resident of Maruga village RT 11/09, Ciater Village, Serpong District, South Tangerang, Banten, became a victim of bullying by his classmates.
The incident occurred at SMPN 19 on October 20 2025 in the school room when it was break time.At that time, the victim was hit on the head with an iron bench.
After the incident, on Tuesday (21/10) the victim began to complain about the pain caused by the incident.When the family did an in-depth investigation, it turned out that the victim admitted that he had often received bullying ranging from being hit to being kicked.
Meanwhile, regarding the ‘war’ to prevent bullying in the educational environment, the central government through the Ministry of Education and Culture (now split into two ministries, namely the Ministry of Basic Education and the Ministry of Higher Education) has issued two ministerial regulations.
The first is Permendikbudristek 46/2023 concerning Prevention and Handling of Violence in Educational Unit Environments.
The second is Permendikbudristek 55/2024 concerning Prevention and Handling of Violence in Higher Education Environments.
In these two regulations, in general, at the education unit level, violence prevention and handling teams (TPPK) must be formed.
In Permendikbudristek 46/2023, for example, education units or schools are required to form TPPK which is tasked with receiving reports, carrying out initial handling, providing assistance, and providing recommendations for sanctions to perpetrators of violence.
Then, regional governments from the provincial to district/city level are also required to form a task force for the Prevention and Handling of Violence in Education Unit Environments (PPKSP) which is tasked with coordinating, monitoring and evaluating efforts in their respective regions.
