will be carried on a stretcher through nearly 500 steps to get to his final resting place in one of the tomb complexes

“Yes, around 500 (steps),” said Abdi Dalem of the Kagungan Dalem Pajimatan Imogiri Mosque, Mas Lurah Muhzani Puspito Lumakso, Tuesday (4/11).
The Kagungan Dalem Pajimatan Imogiri Mosque is just below the stairs before heading to the main complex of the kings’ tombs.PB XIII’s body is planned to be buried and offered prayers at this mosque.

Before reaching the location of this mosque, there are also dozens of stairs that the guide must traverse from the first post door.
After leaving the mosque, the body will then be carried on a stretcher by at least 24 people.The courtiers of the Surakarta Palace will accompany you.
The number of steps to the main complex reaches 409.The body will still be carried on a stretcher up dozens of more stairs to Kedhaton Girimulyo or better known as Kedhaton SSDISKS Paku Buwono X by the courtiers.
This Kedhaton is located on the west side of the main complex of the Pajimatan Imogiri tomb.This location is the resting place for PB X-XII.
“Yesterday, the elder’s servants asked for 24 people to work, and then they would take several breaks on the stairs where there is a rest area. Because if you go from the bottom (directly) to the top, it’s impossible to be strong, it’s heavy and you have to take turns,” he said.
According to Muhzani, PB XIII’s body will later be buried temporarily next to the tomb of his father, PB
Muhzani said that preparations for PB XIII’s funeral procession were going smoothly so far.
Pakubuwana XIII died at around 07.30 WIB.The body will be buried at Pajimatan Imogiri, Bantul, Special Region of Yogyakarta, Wednesday (5/11).
Before being sent to his final resting place, PakubuwanaAfter that, they were transferred to a hearse to be taken to Imogiri.
