The Indonesian Pawn Company Association (PPGI) previously noted that the growth of the pawn industry until May 2025 showed a very positive trend.
The General Chairperson of PPGI who also serves as the Main Director of Pegadaian Damar Latri Setiawan said that the pawnshop business model is very relevant and needed by the community.
“The number of companies grew 12 percent, total assets increased 23 percent, revenue grew 37.5 percent, and operating results rose 9 percent,” he said at the launch of the 2025-2030 Pawnshop Strengthening and Strengthening Roadmap by the Financial Services Authority (OJK) at the Borobudur Hotel, Jakarta, quoted by CNBC Indonesia, last Monday (13/10).
