determined to beat Vietnam in the final Group F match of the 2027 Asian Cup Qualification after recording a ‘perfect’ record at the end of the year.
Currently, Malaysia occupies the top of Group F standings by collecting 15 points from a clean sweep of five matches.Harimau Malaya will face Vietnam in the deciding match in Hanoi next year.
Malaysia closed 2025 by achieving six wins in all competitions, four in the 2027 Asian Cup Qualification matches and two on FIFA Matchday.

After crushing Vietnam 4-0 in June, Malaysia won 2-1 over Singapore and 1-0 over Palestine in September.Then they won twice in October, 3-0 and 5-1 over Laos.
Finally, Faisal Halim and his friends beat Nepal 1-0 in the 2027 Asian Cup Qualifiers. This positive trend has made Malaysia confident.Coach Peter Cklamovski is targeting victory over Vietnam in the final match in the group stage.

In the final match, Malaysia actually only needed to draw to qualify directly for the 2027 Asian Cup. Even though they lost 0-2 to Vietnam, Malaysia was still declared to have qualified.
“That’s what we’ll all be thinking, and everyone will be ready for it,” Cklamovski said.
The Australian coach boasted that he considered his current achievements to be history for the Malaysian national team.According to Cklamovski, achieving six consecutive wins is rare in Malaysia.
