give an opinion about the differences between playing in Malaysia and Indonesia.
Luciano was recruited by Persib from the Malaysian club, Perak FC in January 2025. He gave his views on the different experiences of playing in the two countries after the Selangor FC vs Persib match in the 2025/2026 Asian Champions League Two, Thursday (6/11).
“The first [difference] is the field, we [Persib] have a good field and players. Very different. Selangor FC is a big team. Maybe they don’t play well in Asian competitions even though they have high quality,” said Luciano, quoted from Instagram Astro Arena.

The 33 year old midfielder is an important part of the Blue Prince squad, especially on the Asian stage.Of the four matches that Persib played in ACL2, Luciano always appeared as a starter.
Meanwhile, in the 2025/2026 Super League, the player from Argentina appeared seven times out of nine matches played by Persib.According to him, wearing the uniform of a team with a huge fan base has its own challenges.
“This is a big challenge [playing in the Indonesian League]. At first I didn’t want to go, but I saw the fans there [Bandung] were so crazy. It’s not easy to play with high pressure. The supporters don’t want to accept excuses, including new players,” he said.
Luciano hopes that Persib can continue to progress on the Asian stage.The victory over Selangor also increases Persib’s chances of reaching the last 16 of the 2025/2026 ACL2.Currently Beckham Putra and his friends are at the top of Group G with 10 points.
“I hope to continue playing like this and continue to advance to Asia,” he said.
Persib still has two matches to play in order to ensure a ticket to the knockout phase.The Blue Prince team will visit Lion City Sailors’ home ground on November 26 and then host Bangkok United on December 10.
