With three matches remaining, Persib has the potential to advance to the next round. The next opponent that Mark Klok and his friends will face is Selangor FC.
This match will take place on Thursday (6/11).Currently, Selangor is bottom of Group G because they have never won. This also means that Persib has a chance of winning.
Bojan Hodak, Persib coach, is confident that he can steal points at home to Selangor.According to Hodak, with the current situation, Selangor is more focused on the Malaysian FA Cup.
“If we get three points, we will be almost through to the next round, but I say, we will still play three games and we don’t feel any pressure about that.”
“Maybe they will focus on the FA Cup and other tournaments, but I believe they will still play eleven main players,” said Hodak as quoted from Persib’s official website.
Persib midfielder, Thom Haye, is also confident that he can crush Selangor. One of the ambitions carried by this pillar of the Indonesian National Team is to extend the team’s winning record.
“Now [we] are in a good situation because we have managed to win five matches in a row. I also feel that the atmosphere within the team is also very good.”
“The most important thing is, now the situation in this team is very cheerful. Look at everyone looking happy in the preparation session for the match against Selangor,” said Haye.
