officially extended the captain’s contract

until 2028 on Saturday (15/11) evening.
This is in accordance with Persija’s statement in the club release.In a club statement, it was stated that both parties agreed to collaborate for a longer time.
“This contract extension is a form of commitment between a player who is fighting with all his soul, and Persija who has given him space to grow, process and fight together.”

Ridho said that he had carefully considered the contract extension offer from Persija management.Before agreeing, Ridho had discussions with the family.
“I certainly communicated the decision to extend this contract with my family and wife. I asked for their blessing, and thankfully everyone was supportive,” said Ridho.
Persija Director, Mohamad Prapanca, called Ridho an important pillar of the club.Therefore, this player from Surabaya had his contract extended before the free transfer period expired.
“We want to build a team foundation with players who not only have quality, but also have loyalty and have a fighting character,” explained Prapanca.
However, if in the future Ridho receives an offer from a foreign club, Persija will not turn a blind eye.As long as the offer comes professionally, Ridho will be released.
“In this new contract, we also ensure that we will support Ridho if one day the opportunity to play abroad presents itself to him,” said the former President of the Persija Club.
One of Ridho’s ambitions with Persija is to appear again in Asian competitions, the Champions League Two or the AFC Challenge League.Therefore the results of this season are very decisive.
“Hopefully there will be an opportunity to play in Asia when we are champions or ranked 1-2 and can be successful there. I hope Persija will be better in the future,” said Ridho.
Ridho started joining Persija since Liga 1 2023/2024, Ridho has become the main foundation of Persija’s defense.This quality makes the team captain’s armband belong to a player who also has the status of a pillar of the Indonesian national team.
