“The volume for additional Pertalite is approximately 1.4 million kiloliters,” said President Director of Pertamina Patra Niaga Mars Ega Legowo in a press conference at the Parliament Complex, Central Jakarta, Monday (24/11).
Mars Ega said the additional stock came from a combination of domestic refinery production and additional imports. After increasing, stock durability is expected to increase to 22-23 days.

“This is only to strengthen because Pertalite is also produced from domestic refineries, but in addition we will also have imports because we will increase this stock to a level of more than 21 days. We will try to reach 22 or 23 days,” he said.
Apart from Pertalite, stock is also being thickened for Pertamax Turbo through increasing refinery production and imports.
“Pertamax Turbo has additional imports but also additional production from refineries, from the Cilacap refinery and the Balongan refinery,” he said.
Mars Ega explained that since November Pertamina Patra Niaga has increased fuel and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) stocks so that supplies are safe during the long holiday period.
“Firstly, we ensure that the availability of fuel and LPG in the community is available to celebrate Christmas and New Year. Therefore, until the end of November, we will continue to increase stocks,” he said.
He also referred to data from the Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas) which showed that national fuel stock resilience was at 20.2 days.
“So we are adding stock so that as of today the stock is at 20.2 days nationally and we will continue to increase it,” he said.
To ensure distribution runs smoothly, distribution strengthening is carried out from upstream to downstream. The fleet of ships has been increased to speed up deliveries to depots.
“We have also calculated several additional ships that we will prepare to distribute distribution to the N-depot,” he said.
On land routes, the company added around 346 tankers to speed up deliveries from terminals to gas stations.Pertamina Patra Niaga is also preparing pocket tankers that allow filling certain gas stations without having to return to the main terminal.
“This pocket tanker is a tanker that we have on standby in certain areas so that it can fill up fuel at gas stations more quickly,” said Mars Ega.
The fuel terminal will also operate on weekends during the Christmas period.
“Saturday and Sunday we also open our fuel terminal to distribute gas stations,” he explained.
Around 1,800 gas stations are planned to operate 24 hours starting mid-December.Pertamina Patra Niaga also added tanker crew to support the additional fleet.
“We are also preparing reserve manpower, because we are increasing the fleet, but we also have to add backup fleet or tank car crews to carry out or execute this energy distribution to the community,” he said.
Mars Ega emphasized that this entire series of preparations is part of the company’s mandate to ensure energy is distributed from Sabang to Merauke.
