Barita explained that there were 49 palm oil companies whose total fines were estimated at IDR 9.4 trillion.Dozens of companies were also charged fines.
Of the 33 companies present, there were 15 companies that had paid a total of IDR 1.7 trillion, five companies were ready to pay, and 13 companies had submitted objections.
“Because in this task force there are 12 ministries/institutions, including the Financial and Development Supervisory Agency (BPKP) which have carried out calculations in accordance with applicable regulations, of course objections will be verified as long as they are acceptable,” he said.
Apart from that, said Barita, there were also three companies that had not yet attended billing and 13 companies that were waiting for the billing schedule.
“Especially for oil palm plantations, IDR 1,761,579,500,000.00 has been entered into the palm oil escrow account,” he said.
There are palm oil companies that have stated their ability to pay a total fine of IDR 83,386,250,000.00.
Thus, if recapitulated, the total amount of fines from palm oil companies that will be received by the state is IDR 1,844,965,750,000.00.
Furthermore, for mining, Barita said that there were 22 mining companies that were collecting fines.Of the dozens of companies, 13 companies were present, while nine companies were included in the billing schedule.
Of the 13 companies present, one corporation has paid IDR 500 billion out of a total of IDR 2.094 trillion.
Then, there were three companies that received fines and were ready to pay a total of IDR 1,643,731,412,940.00, while one company still submitted an objection.
If recapitulated, a total of IDR 3,738,431,987,940.00 will be received by the state from collecting fines from mining companies.
Barita also appealed to corporations that are obliged to pay fines to be cooperative and work together to resolve all responsibilities in order to comply with regulations.
“It is possible that the PKH Task Force, through the legal instruments it has, will take legal steps. If it turns out that efforts to fulfill fine administration obligations and fulfill regulatory compliance are not being heeded, then legal steps in accordance with authority and regulations will be implemented,” he said.
