Many people protested against referee Hasan Mahfoodh Ammar Ebrahim at the end of the match against Myanmar, Friday (12/12) evening WIB.
This was because Ammar Ebrahim blew the long whistle when the U-23 National Team received a throw-in in the Myanmar playing area.Instead of letting the Garuda Muda players execute the throw-in, Ammar Ebrahim immediately blew the long whistle in the match which took place at the 700th Anniversary Stadium, Chiang Mai, Thailand.
A number of Indonesian U-23 national team players approached the referee.Team captain Ivar Jenner protested to the referee which ultimately resulted in a yellow card.

Apart from that, substitute player Muhammad Ferrari was also seen chatting with the referee after blowing the long whistle.
The referee’s decision to blow the long whistle made the U-23 Indonesian National Team’s hopes of qualifying for the 2025 SEA Games semifinals disappear.When the match ended, the Garuda Muda Team was leading 3-1.
The Indonesian U-23 national team only needs one additional goal to clear the way to the top four phase.However, with a score of 3-1, Malaysia qualified for the next phase and secured the status of best runner up.
Indonesia fell behind first in the match through Min Maw Oo’s goal in the 29th minute.Garuda Muda then equalized the score at 1-1 thanks to Toni Firmansyah’s flick in the 45th minute.
Jens Raven ignited Indonesia’s hopes of reaching the semifinals with his goal in the 89th minute which put the Red and White Team ahead 2-1.Raven’s second goal was created in the minute of injury time, Indonesia moved closer to the semifinals after winning 3-1.
