In a drug case in a hearing that took place at the South Jakarta District Court, Thursday (8/14).
The rejection was conveyed by Attorney Indah Puspitarani by stating that all the defense of Fariz RM was rejected on the grounds that the regret of the musician could not be trusted, given the repeatedly caught in drug abuse.
In his defense, Fariz RM pleaded guilty to re -using drugs and promised it to be the last.

“That is evidence of the absence of regret from the defendant to be completely clean from narcotics,” he stressed.
“The public prosecutor clearly refused the defense of the defendant’s legal advisory team, because it was not based on the law and merely a mere assumption,” he said.

The rejection made the prosecutor remain on his demands, which was six years in prison and a fine of Rp800 million in three months in prison.
When Pleidoi was rejected, Fariz RM admitted that he was not disappointed and remained calm, because the legal process had not been completed.The 66 -year -old musician hopes that it can still be given the opportunity for rehabilitation.
“It’s not disappointed, it hasn’t reached the end. It means that all are still a process. I believe that as a Muslim, Allah SWT knows exactly what is happening. I want to improve myself to the maximum,” said Fariz RM.
“If I myself frankly hope that I will be given the opportunity to return to be rehabilitated because once again, healing myself from narcotics dependence is not an easy thing,” he said after the trial.
Pleidoi was delivered after the prosecutor on August 4 demanded that the defendant Fariz Roestam Munaf (Fariz RM) was six years in prison for cases of drug abuse, psychotropic and other addictive materials (Narcotics).
On February 18, 2025, the police arrested the musician in Dipati Ukur, Lebak Gede, Coblong, Bandung, West Java based on ADK’s statement that Fariz also ordered the illicit goods to ADK.
The police then set both of them as suspects of alleged narcotics abuse namely ADK and Fariz RM (FRM).Evidence confiscated from Fariz RM, namely marijuana and methamphetamine drugs.
Fariz is suspected of article 111 paragraph (1), Article 112 paragraph (1), Article 114 paragraph (1) of RI Law No. 35 of 2009 concerning Narcotics with the threat of a sentence of five to 20 years in prison.
Musician Fariz RM has been involved in drug cases several times in 2008, 2014, 2018 and 2025.
