The PLN UPT Padang Sidempuan Recovery Team finally succeeded in restoring electricity to the Sibolga – Tapteng area and its surroundings after days of struggling in the field,” wrote a statement from the account quoted on Thursday (4/12).

This electricity recovery is considered successful because of collaboration between sectors.Where the Government, TNI, Polri and PLN work together to ensure emergency handling is effective so that electricity services for affected communities are restored.

Previously, the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture (Menko PMk) said that improvements to electricity access by PLN in the affected areas were targeted to be completed in a short time.PT PLN also ensures that the recovery process is effective so that electricity services can be enjoyed by the public again soon.
“The restoration of the high pressure tower is targeted for completion on Friday, December 5 2025. PLN has accelerated repairs from five to six days to just two or three days. So that the Arun-Bireuen and Tarutung-Sibolga routes, where the electricity is still out, can be turned on again soon,” said Pratikno in a press conference held in Jakarta on Wednesday (3/12).
