“We have arrested the suspected perpetrator, even though there was resistance, because the perpetrator was holding a sharp weapon,” said Head of the Southeast Sulawesi Police Resmob Unit, AKP Gayuh Pambudhi Utomo in a written statement, Saturday (15/11).

Gayuh explained that the alleged murder occurred on Saturday (15/11) at around 01.30 WITA.The victim was allegedly assaulted by the perpetrator using a sharp badik type weapon.
“The team entered the house and found the victim dead and covered in stab wounds. The badik used by the perpetrator was also secured as evidence,” he said.
Gayuh said the victim served at the Tolikara Police, Papua.According to him, the victim was also a trainer for paragliding athletes
“The victim was in Kendari on duty to accompany paragliding athletes who were going to compete,” he said.
Gayuh said the victim’s body was then evacuated to Bhayangkara Kendari Hospital for further examination.
“Investigators are still investigating the motive for this case,” he said.
