In this case, investigators from the Sub-Directorate for Criminal and Criminal Investigation at Polda Metro Jaya have named eight suspects who were divided into clusters.
“Investigators concluded that the suspects had spread false accusations and edited and digitally manipulated diploma documents using unscientific analysis methods and misleading the public,” said Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Asep Edi Suheri in a press conference, Friday (7/11).

This conclusion was based on the results of examination of 130 witnesses.Apart from that, it is also based on information from 22 expert witnesses, including the Press Council, the Director General of Regulations and Legislation of the Ministry of Law and Defense, digital forensic associations, social communication experts and so on.
Then, investigators also confiscated 723 items of evidence, including one of Jokowi’s original diploma documents from Gadjah Mada University (UGM).
“This is also reinforced by the results of examinations from the National Police Pusulapor in analog and digital aspects,” said Asep.
Furthermore, Asep emphasized that the determination of Roy Suryo cs as a suspect in this case was purely a law enforcement process.
“The case handling that we carry out is purely a law enforcement process. Then all stages are also carried out professionally, proportionally, transparently and accountably,” he said.
Previously, Polda Metro Jaya named eight suspects divided into two clusters in connection with the alleged case of Jokowi’s fake diploma.
The first cluster consists of five suspects, namely Eggi Sudjana, Kurnia Tri Rohyani, Damai Hari Lubis, Rustam Effendi and Muhammad Rizal Fadillah.They were charged with Article 310 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 311 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 160 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 27a in conjunction with Article 45 Paragraph 4 and/or Article 28 Paragraph 2 in conjunction with Article 45a Paragraph 2 of the ITE Law.
Then the second cluster consisted of three suspects, namely Roy Suryo, Rismon Hasiholan Sianipar and Tifauziah Tyassuma alias Dr Tifa.They were charged under Article 310 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 311 of the Criminal Code and/or Article 32 Paragraph 1 Juncto Article 48 Paragraph 1 and/or Article 35 Junto Article 51 Paragraph 1 and/or Article 27a Junto Article 45 Paragraph 4 and/or Article 28 Paragraph 2 Junto Article 45a Paragraph 2 of the ITE Law.
After determining this suspect, investigators from the Sub-Directorate for Criminal and Criminal Investigation at Polda Metro Jaya will immediately summon Roy Suryo CS to be questioned as a suspect.
Later, the detention of these suspects will be decided after they are questioned in their capacity as suspects.
