The perpetrator with the initials R (28) is known to be the lover of the victim’s mother.
“Yes, the initial suspicion was that there was resentment towards the victim,” said Luwu Police Criminal Investigation Unit Head, Iptu Muhammad Ibnu Robbani to hitclubapk3Indonesia.com, Monday (24/11).

Ibnu explained that before the abuse incident, the perpetrator had a drinking party with his colleagues.
“The perpetrator couldn’t control his emotions, previously the perpetrator had also drunk balo (tuak) with his friend,” he explained.
Meanwhile, said Ibnu, PPA investigators from the Luwu Police Criminal Investigation Unit have named R as a suspect in the case of baby abuse that resulted in the victim’s death.
“Based on the results of the case, the perpetrator has been named a suspect,” he said.
As a result of his actions, the perpetrator was charged with Article 80 paragraph (3) in conjunction with Article 76 C of Law Number 35 of 2014 regarding amendments to Law Number 23 of 2002 concerning child protection.
The incident occurred at the perpetrator’s rented house in Central Lamunre Village, North Belopa District, Luwu Regency, Thursday (21/11) at around 21.00 WITA, starting when the victim’s mother received news from the perpetrator that the victim was unconscious.
“At that time, the victim’s mother was working and received a message from the perpetrator saying that her child had fainted,” he said.
Then the victim was taken to hospital for medical treatment.However, after arriving at the hospital the victim’s life could not be saved and he was declared dead.The victim’s mother reported the alleged abuse case, so an investigation was carried out and the perpetrator was arrested.
“The perpetrator admitted to abusing the victim using a broom handle and wood. Information from the victim’s mother also confirmed the suspicion that acts of violence against the victim had often occurred before,” he said.
