The police confirmed that they had searched the alleged perpetrator’s house

Head of Public Relations of Polda Metro Jaya, Kombes Pol Budi Hermanto, said that this step was taken after the police carried out a crime scene investigation and collected a number of pieces of evidence.

“There was a series carried out by the police, from sterilization, from crime scene examination, powder (evidence), it was reasonable to carry out a search at one of the houses suspected of being the perpetrator,” said Budi at Polda Metro, Saturday (8/11).
Budi said that his party had confiscated a number of items at the alleged perpetrator’s house.However, he has not revealed the item in question because it is still being investigated.
The collection of evidence will later be compared with evidence collected from the scene of the explosion.
“Including the compatibility with those at home, it turns out there is a compatibility with some of the powder tools,” he said.
Budi said the official results and details regarding the case would be presented in the near future.The police dispatched the anti-terror Densus and the National Police Laboratory and Information Center to handle the case.
“So there are several work units, not just Polda Metro Jaya. There is Densus 88, there is Puslabfor Police Headquarters, and there is North Jakarta Police,” he said.
The explosion occurred at SMAN 72, Kelapa Gading, Jakarta, Friday (7/11) afternoon.A total of 96 people, mostly students, were injured as a result of the incident.
Up to a day after the incident, 29 victims were still being treated in hospitals and the remaining 67 had been discharged.Apart from RSI Cempaka Putih, there are also Yarsi Hospital and Pertamina Hospital.
“So the total number of people still being treated is approximately 29 out of 96. And the rest went home yesterday and may be undergoing outpatient treatment,” said National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.
