The National Police also appreciated the community’s role in caring for victims affected by the natural disasters of flash floods and landslides.
“The National Police appreciates the active role of the community by working together to distribute aid to our brothers and sisters affected by disasters in West Sumatra, North Sumatra and Aceh,” said Dedi in an official statement.
According to the Deputy Chief of Police, community participation is a form of concern for others and will further maximize the handling of natural disasters that are currently occurring.The synergy of all parties is a strength in accelerating the handling of this disaster.
“We thank the community and volunteers, including Bang Ferry Irwandi and Bang Jovial Da Lopez for their contribution to natural disasters in Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra,” said the Deputy Chief of Police.
The Deputy Chief of Police emphasized that the National Police continues to strengthen quick steps in handling disasters in the Aceh, West Sumatra and North Sumatra regions by activating a number of logistics posts at strategic points.

Commissioner General Pol Dedi added that the existence of these posts ensures that aid distribution, cross-agency coordination and quick response to the needs of affected communities can run effectively.
“Our focus is speed, accuracy and ensuring that all aid is distributed without obstacles. The National Police is here to provide maximum protection and support for affected residents,” emphasized the Deputy Chief of Police.

Meanwhile, Ferry Irwandi said that the provision of humanitarian aid was in collaboration with the National Police and Kitabisa.This assistance will continue to be distributed in stages.

Police Deploy Ship to Aceh Tamiang
Apart from collaborating with the community and volunteers to send aid, the National Police also dispatched the Police Ship Wisanggeni 8005 to strengthen flood management in Aceh, especially Aceh Tamiang as a priority area.Departure was made via a troop call Wednesday (3/12).
A total of 183 personnel were deployed to the disaster location, consisting of 117 Aceh Police personnel – including Brimob, Criminal Investigation Unit, Criminal Investigation Unit, Narcotics Research Unit, Dokkes, ICT, Public Relations, Human Resources, Roops and Provos – as well as 68 personnel from National Police Headquarters who came from the Police Korbrimob Satpas and SSDM.
They were seconded (BKO) to strengthen the Aceh Tamiang, East Aceh, North Aceh, Langsa and Lhokseumawe Police.Logistical assistance departed from the warehouse of the Aceh Police Headquarters Logistics Bureau to Malahayati Harbor, Krueng Raya, and was transported using the Wisanggeni 8005 ship to Krueng Geukueh, before continuing distribution to five regions.
Each precinct received assistance with ingredients such as rice, egg noodles, sugar, instant noodles, coffee, soap, vermicelli, cereal drinks, mineral water, pampers, sanitary napkins and anti-mosquito lotion.
The deployment of personnel and logistics via the Wisanggeni Ship is a step to accelerate emergency handling, especially in Aceh Tamiang where land access is still hampered.The National Police ensures that aid arrives on time and can reach all areas affected by the disaster.
