.In this case, 87 containers were also confiscated.
National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo said the disclosure of this case started with the findings of the National Police OPN Task Force through the PT MMS mirroring analysis system.
“This is related to the extraordinary surge in commodity exports

compared to previous years, it rose almost 278 percent.”This is certainly an anomaly and the team is investigating it,” said Sigit at a press conference in Cilincing, North Jakarta, Thursday (6/11).

Next, an examination of the contents to be exported is carried out in three different laboratories. From the inspection it was discovered that the content did not match the commodities that should receive tax-free compensation.
“It contains mostly mixed commodities from palm oil derivative products. So like it or not, we will of course follow up on this together with the Directorate General of Customs and Excise for further investigation,” said Sigit.
“Thank God, from those that were able to be secured, there were approximately 87 containers that we suspect had committed export violations of CPO derivative products,” he continued.
Sigit said that according to regulations, fatty matter commodities are not subject to export duties or levies. This loophole, he said, was then exploited by certain parties to avoid taxes and cause losses to the state.
“We will of course carry out an in-depth study of several other companies and later if we need to carry out a law enforcement process and also recover losses to the state, of course we will do this,” said Sigit.
“Until now, from one commodity

“Just as recorded, the transaction value reached IDR 2.8 trillion, if I’m not mistaken, and we will continue to develop this,” he added.
Furthermore, Sigit said that currently his party is continuing to investigate other companies which are suspected of also using similar methods.
“There are still several companies that use a similar modus operandi, which we will now study and of course provide further information,” said Sigit.
