) final 0.5 percent for micro, small and medium enterprises (
MSMEs
) officially extended.
Minister of UMKM Maman Abdurrahman said that MSMEs with a turnover of under IDR 500 million per year are tax free.Meanwhile, MSMEs with a turnover of more than IDR 500 million to IDR 4.8 billion are subject to a tariff of 0.5 percent.
“Permanent (0.5 percent final PPh incentive for MSMEs), so no time limit has been determined. Yes, it has been discussed, it has been decided,” said Maman after the KUR Policy Committee Meeting at the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy, Central Jakarta, Monday (17/11).

This rule has been in effect since the era of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo.This policy has begun to be regulated through Government Regulation (PP) Number 55 of 2022 concerning Adjustments to Regulations in the Income Tax Sector.
The policy was extended until 2029. This time, the extension was carried out until an undetermined time limit.
Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa also confirmed that the 0.5 percent PPH for MSMEs was extended.
However, Purbaya does not want to confirm that this policy will become permanent.He wants to evaluate this policy in the next two years.
