“I say that the government will definitely come down and help. Of course this is a disaster and of course we are humans, we don’t have the stick of Prophet Musa, we can do it immediately. But we will do it as quickly as possible,” said Prabowo in Takengon, Central Aceh, Friday (12/12).
Prabowo said that the government had also prepared temporary shelter for the victims.
“There will be temporary housing. Then there will be permanent housing which we have prepared, we have planned, we have allocated a budget. But it takes time. So we ask for patience,” he said.
Before going to Takengon, Prabowo first visited Aceh Tamiang.There, Prabowo asked the regional government to be aware of environmental damage following the floods that hit a number of areas on the island of Sumatra.
“I ask all regional governments to be more alert, to be more vigilant, to protect our nature as well as possible,” said Prabowo.
Prabowo stated that all parties must protect the environment, he emphasized that natural conservation must be maintained.
He reminded all parties that in the future there would be no more illegal felling of trees.
Prabowo stated that the government would continue to work hard to overcome the disaster that is hitting Sumatra today.He also hopes that the situation there can soon return to normal.
“We are trying, we know that it is very difficult on the field, the situation is difficult so we will overcome it together, I think that’s all, so hopefully you will recover quickly, come back quickly, return to normal quickly,” he said.
