Prabowo conveyed this when giving directions to the Commission at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Friday (7/11).

“I hope this commission will examine the National Police institution, examine the National Police institution with all its strengths and weaknesses. Let us think about the interests of the nation and state. We should not be afraid to see the shortcomings,” said Prabowo.
Prabowo instructed National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo to open up and discuss this issue with all parties.
He asked the commission to establish communication with former National Police Chiefs who were not on this commission, according to him their views were also important.
Prabowo also did not limit the working period of this commission.He only asked them to report every three months.
“So once again, brothers and sisters, the main task of this Commission is to study and later provide recommendations to me as Head of State and Head of Government to take the necessary reform measures, if necessary,” he said.
Prabowo inaugurated the National Police Reform Acceleration Commission at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Friday (7/11).
This decision is contained in Presidential Decree Number 122 P of 2025 concerning the Appointment of Membership to the Commission for the Acceleration of Police Reform.
The commission is filled by 10 people, former Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court Jimly Asshiddique serves as chairman and member.
Also part of the team was former Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD.Then three former National Police Chiefs, namely Tito Karnavian, Idham Aziz, and Badrodin Haiti.
Also included in the committee is the President’s Special Advisor for Community Security and Police Reform, Ahmad Dofiri.
Apart from that, there are also a number of ministers besides Tito who are included in the committee, namely the Coordinating Minister for Law and Human Rights Imipas, Yusril Ihza Mahendra, Deputy Coordinating Minister for Law and Human Rights Imipas Otto Hasibuan, and Minister of Law Supratman Andi Agtas.
