establish an Acceleration Commission
Police Reform
.This commission is chaired by
Jimly Asshiddiqie
, former Chief Justice of the Constitutional Court (MK) for the 2003-2008 period.
Prabowo inaugurated the National Police Reform Acceleration Commission at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, Friday (7/11).This decision is contained in Presidential Decree Number 122 P of 2025 concerning the Appointment of Membership to the Commission for the Acceleration of Police Reform.

The commission is filled by 10 people.Apart from Jimly, there is former Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Mahfud MD.Then three former National Police Chiefs;Tito Karnavian, Idham Azis, and Badrodin Haiti.
Then, there is also the Special Advisor to the President for Security and Community Security and Police Reform Ahmad Dofiri, Coordinating Minister for Law and Human Rights Imipas Yusril Ihza Mahendra, Deputy Coordinating Minister for Law and Human Rights Imipas Otto Hasibuan, Minister of Law Supratman Andi Agtas, and National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.
Chairman of the National Police Reform Acceleration Commission, Jimly Asshiddique, said he would hold his first meeting at National Police Headquarters on Monday (10/11).Jimly conveyed this after receiving directions from Prabowo.
Jimly targets this commission to work optimally and quickly even though Prabowo is not given a working time limit.
“There has been a report for at least 3 months, although it can develop according to needs,” he said.
He said that this committee was also ready to support each other’s performance with the National Police’s internal police reform team which some time ago was formed by National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.
Jimly said that it was possible that his team’s findings would change regulations and even laws if it was deemed necessary to improve the system.
