This amount is more than double the proposal of the Minister of Home Affairs (Mendagri) Tito Karnavian of IDR 2 billion.
“For 52 city districts, right? OK, right away. Minister of Home Affairs, you asked for IDR 2 billion per district, I’ll give you IDR 4 billion,” said Prabowo.
Tito revealed that the regional head actually had an unexpected budget of IDR 34 billion, but as we were approaching the end of the year the budget was running low.Tito even said that the regional government only had IDR 75 million remaining in funds.
Meanwhile, apart from city districts, Prabowo said the central government would also allocate funds of IDR 20 billion each for the provinces of Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra.
“For the provinces, we will calculate later, which one is the hardest? Send 20 billion. Later the governor will tell me to meet you. Is North Sumatra available? Everyone is present. Anyway, we will help,” he said.
