chaired a limited meeting (ratas) after reviewing the impact of flash floods and landslides in three provinces in Sumatra, Aceh, Sunday (7/12) evening.
The meeting was held at the integrated post for handling Aceh’s natural disasters at the Sultan Iskandar Muda Air Base, Aceh Besar Regency, Aceh, and was broadcast live via the Presidential Secretariat’s YouTube channel.
“Today I came for the second time, earlier I, together with the governor and several officials, saw firsthand the conditions in Bireuen and saw that the construction of the bailey bridge was progressing well,” said Prabowo, opening the meeting.

“It is hoped that this week it will be operational so that the next bridge will start to open,” he added, as quoted from the Presidential Secretariat’s YouTube account.
Prabowo admitted that he received reports that field conditions were quite worrying.He said agricultural fields were damaged, and housing had to be rebuilt.
“Then I received a report that the conditions were quite worrying. Many of the rice fields were also damaged. Are there farmers here? Irrigation is very important. Then the governor and regent reported that there was quite a lot of housing that we had to help rebuild,” he said.

Prabowo himself was seen arriving at Sultan Iskandar Muda Air Base at around 19.00 WIB.

President Prabowo visited Aceh for the second time after the province, along with North Sumatra and West Sumatra, was hit by flash floods and landslides on November 25 2025.
Previously, Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi said that President Prabowo visited Aceh twice and held a meeting tonight, because Serambi Mecca was one of the provinces with the most affected districts.
“After 10 days, several areas in Aceh are not in as good a condition as other districts (in two provinces, ed.),” said Pras.
