This plan is longer than previous Whoosh development plans.The government had planned to build the Whoosh route to Surabaya after the Jakarta-Bandung route was connected.
“God willing, God willing. I ask not only Surabaya. Banyuwangi. Banyuwangi (Fast Train to Banyuwangi) yes, Banyuwangi. Surabaya was in the past, now Banyuwangi,” said Prabowo at Tanah Abang Baru Station, Jakarta, Tuesday (4/11).

On that occasion, Prabowo also assured the public that the government could overcome the Whoosh development debt.According to him, Indonesia is a large nation and has abundant resources.
Prabowo also believes that public transportation cannot be built with a profit orientation.He said providing public transportation was the government’s responsibility.
“Technology, all facilities are a shared responsibility and ultimately it is the responsibility of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, so now I am responsible Whoosh,” he said.
Previously, the government built the Jakarta-Bandung Whoosh Fast Train.Construction was completed during the era of the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Jokowi.
Even though it has been completed and is operational, the project is still clouded by controversy.Recently, Whoosh’s construction debt has become a matter of public concern.
Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa stated that he would not use the APBN to pay for it.He asked Danantara to find a way to pay the debt.
Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi said that President Prabowo had ordered Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa and also Danantara to find a solution to KCJB Whoosh’s debt.
