wants the government to build an Indonesian sports center on a 500 hectare site.
This was conveyed by Prabowo when giving directions for the release of the Indonesian contingent for the 2025 SEA Games at the State Palace, Jakarta on Friday (5/12) afternoon.
“I have spoken with the Minister of Youth and Sports, we will be determined to provide long-term training for sports athletes,” said Prabowo when giving directions.

“I have planned, we will build a large sports center. I asked for a minimum of 500 hectares for the center. There are no sports centers of 5 hectares, 8 hectares. There are none.”
Prabowo wants the development of Indonesian athletes to be handled as well as possible.Because of this, the best sports facilities are needed.Prabowo also wants the best coaches to be brought in.
“Later we will build a state of the art. We will send our athletes anywhere to study. We will bring in the best coaches, and we will train them from an early age,” said Prabowo.
“We educate from the age of eight. We create coaching, a long-term coaching center. Yes, the Asian Games, yes the Olympics, but we think further,” he explained.
If the government does this, Prabowo in the future Indonesia will have big athletes on the world stage.On that basis, Prabowo wants to build an Indonesian sports center.
“I believe, with development like this, the 200 million [Indonesian population] will definitely give birth to more young heroes who will make Indonesia’s name better.”
