starting at the end of this year.
This was revealed by the Coordinating Minister for Community Empowerment Muhaimin Iskandar alias Cak Imin.He revealed this policy after meeting Prabowo at the palace.
“Debt whitening for BPJS Health participants will be carried out immediately by re-registering BPJS Health participants to prepare for re-registration,” said Cak Imin at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, Tuesday (4/11).

“The end of this year is for BPJS Health,” he said.
He did not want to reveal the detailed date for the elimination of BPJS Health contribution debt.Cak Imin only said that there would be an official announcement some time in the future.
Cak Imin explained that re-registration would result in people who had previously owed BPJS Health contributions being re-registered as active participants.
This policy will also transfer the responsibility for contributions to BPJS Health.
“The responsibility will automatically be taken over by BPJS Health,” he said.
Previously, the Main Director of BPJS Health, Ali Ghufron Mukti, announced plans to eliminate BPJS Health contribution debt.He said the total value of the debt to be written off was around IDR 10 trillion.
Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa has also prepared a budget for this policy.However, he said the policy would be implemented using the 2026 APBN.
“Yes, it is there, we have budgeted IDR 20 trillion (in the 2026 APBN),” said Purbaya when met at the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs Building, Jakarta, Wednesday (22/10).
