Prabowo said that the government plans to form a special agency or task force to rehabilitate and reconstruct affected areas.
He said that the government would immediately build temporary and permanent shelter for affected residents.
Prabowo also said that so far the government had also deployed 50 thousand TNI/Polri personnel to disaster-affected areas.
Apart from that, Prabowo said the government had also deployed more than 60 helicopters and dozens of planes to the affected locations.
“We have deployed 50 thousand TNI/Polri, that’s the level of 50 battalions in the affected areas. If you say the state is not present,” said Prabowo with a sigh.
