SEA Games 2025
at the Merdeka Palace, Friday (5/12) afternoon.
Some of the Indonesian athletes who will compete in the 2025 SEA Games will have the opportunity to meet Prabowo face to face as a way to send them off to the Southeast Asian Games.
Hundreds of athletes who came since the afternoon from the inauguration event at the Ministry of Youth and Sports Office came in one large group.

Not only athletes, there are also Minister of Youth and Sports Erick Thohir, Chairman of the Indonesian Olympic Committee Raja Sapta Oktohari, as well as heads of sports administrators.
On that occasion, Prabowo conveyed a message to the athletes to fight to defend the country at the SEA Games.
“So young people, sons and daughters of the Indonesian nation who I respect. I can only advise you to do the best you can. Give your best, give everything you can give. Because this is an event to defend the honor of the entire Indonesian nation.”
“You are the representatives of almost 300 million Indonesian children. We as coaches, we pray that you will be good representatives. Proclaim, proclaim Indonesia Raya in front of other nations,” said Prabowo on the podium.
Prabowo also gave a motivational message to the athletes so they could win the best medals at the 2025 SEA Games while mentioning awards from the state to outstanding figures.
“You have a very noble task, defending your country. If you succeed, your name will not disappear from conversation, from memory, from the narrative of the entire community,” said Prabowo, who then asked Rizki Juniansyah about the appointment of Indonesia’s flagship lifter as an Indonesian Navy officer.
“So our sons and daughters who defend the honor and good name of our nation, the nation will always respect. For this reason, compete with all your heart. Maintain discipline, always be humble. Do your best. Sometimes strength, the strength from within can exceed human strength. You have to explore the strength from within,” Prabowo said later.
In releasing the athlete, Prabowo also touched on the disaster that occurred in Sumatra.
