Baswedan Embankment
in Jatipadang, South Jakarta which collapsed, Tuesday (4/10).
The embankment previously broke when heavy rain hit Jakarta some time ago.The breach in the embankment caused flooding in residential areas.

, Pramono went straight to the location of the broken embankment.He wore boots and was accompanied by a number of officials from the DKI Provincial Government.

At the location, residential areas were seen still being flooded by around 20-30 cm.Pramono has ordered repairs to the embankment.
The DKI Jakarta Provincial Water Resources (SDA) Service previously recorded at least five embankment collapses and three embankment landslides in the South Jakarta Administrative City area due to the very heavy rain that hit on Thursday (30/10) evening.
One of them is the embankment in Jatipadang which is known as the Baswedan Embankment.
For emergency handling of damaged embankments, the department built temporary embankments using sandbags to contain water runoff in affected locations.
