Erwin (E) was named a suspect by
Bandung District Prosecutor’s Office (Kejari).

Apart from Erwin, the Bandung Prosecutor’s Office also named a member of the Bandung DPRD from the NasDem faction, Rendiana Awangga, as a suspect.
“Based on two pieces of evidence, Tipidsus named two suspects. One E is the active Deputy Mayor of Bandung, the suspect RA is a member of the Bandung City DPRD,” said Head of the Bandung District Prosecutor’s Office (Kajari), Irfan Wibowo, at a press conference in Bandung City, West Java, Wednesday (10/12).

Erwin and Rendiana were named as suspects in a case of alleged abuse of authority within the Bandung City Government in 2025.
According to Irfan, the suspects are suspected of abusing their power by requesting projects from a number of SKPDs as well as arranging the appointment of providers.He emphasized that the investigation is still developing and opens up the possibility of other suspects.
“Investigators will continue to develop this case. It is possible that other parties are involved,” said Irfan.
The projects that are suspected to be problematic are spread across several SKPDs within the Bandung City Government.
Regarding detention, Irfan explained that the two suspects had not been detained.The Prosecutor’s Office is still waiting for the provisions in the Regional Government Law, including the need for approval from the Minister of Home Affairs before detaining regional heads and deputy regional heads.
This case is now entering the advanced stage of investigation by investigators.
Previously, last October, news circulated that Erwin had been caught in a sting operation (OTT) by the Bandung Prosecutor’s Office.However, this news was later denied by the prosecutor’s office and Erwin himself.
However, Erwin was then questioned and prevented from leaving the country by the Bandung Prosecutor’s Office.
Previously, the Bandung Prosecutor’s Office was investigating a case of alleged corruption in the abuse of authority in the Bandung City Government (Pemkot) in 2025.
A number of witnesses have been questioned by Bandung Prosecutor’s Office investigators, including Erwin and officials within the Bandung City Government.
Meanwhile, Erwin on October 31 explained the information he had conveyed to the Bandung Prosecutor’s Office investigators.
At that time he admitted that he had fulfilled the investigator’s summons as a form of moral responsibility and support for the ongoing legal process.
“As a public official, I have a strong commitment to transparency, accountability and eradicating corruption within the Bandung City Government,” he said at the time.
Furthermore, he also admitted that he fully supports the legal process carried out by the Bandung Prosecutor’s Office in order to strengthen clean governance.
“I am aware of the circulation of inappropriate information. I urge all parties to wait for the results (examination/investigation) from the Bandung City District Prosecutor’s Office,” said Erwin.
