“I enjoyed the atmosphere of this match. There were lots of supporters with a great atmosphere. When compared to the clubs I once worked at, I liked all the atmosphere and the lively atmosphere,” said Jean Paul Van Gastel after PSIM versus Persija.
“I enjoy the atmosphere here. I appreciate [PSIM goalkeeper] Fikri who played in a match of this magnitude against Persija,” added Jean Paul Van Gastel.
Unfortunately, Van Gastel’s first moment facing Persija resulted in a 0-2 defeat.Laskar Mataram had to recognize the superiority of the Kemayoran Tigers thanks to two goals from Maxwell De Souza (77′) and Allano (95′).
“Persija has the right to win, we didn’t play badly but we also didn’t play well, especially in the first half,” said Jean Paul Van Gastel.
The defeat prevented PSIM from climbing to a higher place in the standings. However, Anton Phase and his friends remain in fourth place with 22 points.
“In general I am proud of the team, we fought to get points but unfortunately Persija won. After 13 matches no one thought we were at the top. We will recover and start from scratch again,” said Jean Paul Van Gastel.
