Chairman of the PSSI National Team Agency (BTN) who is also a member of the PSSI Exco, Sumardji, said that the candidates for the Indonesian National Team coach who would be brought to the PSSI Exco meeting to be appointed were narrowed down to two names.
However, Sumardji was reluctant to mention who the two candidates were.What is certain is that three PSSI delegates will report this to the Exco for further confirmation.
“We will select two coaches first to discuss in more detail. Yes, just wait [names of those interviewed] because we want to find the best,” he explained.
From the candidates met by PSSI, a list of one to five will be determined.The top two names considered most suitable for Indonesia will be discussed in more depth.
“Several prospective coaches have been interviewed by Alexander Zwiers and Pak Muhammad and Endri Erawan. Later, after the three of them return to Indonesia, we will hold a PSSI Exco meeting.”
“So later there will be a ranking from one to five, who is the best. After that we will discuss it together at the PSSI Exco meeting,” said Sumardji, Tuesday (2/12).
Five names previously circulated in rumors about potential Indonesian coaches, Timur Kapadze, Jesus Casas, Heimir Hallgrimsson, Giovanni Van Bronckhorst and John Herdman.
The possibility of Kapadze becoming the coach of the Indonesian National Team is very small because he has just been recruited by the Uzbekistan club PFC Navbahor.
