PalmCo President Director Jatmiko K Santosa stated that public safety is always the company’s top priority.
“We are fully present to ensure that every resident and worker gets proper service, especially in emergency situations like this,” he said in his official statement, Saturday (6/12).

He said that his party had mobilized all the necessary resources, from health facilities, logistics, to assistance for vulnerable groups, so that recovery was comprehensive.
According to him, community recovery is a shared responsibility.He also invited all parties to continue to help each other so that affected residents can immediately return to their normal activities.
“We are not only present as a company, but as part of the community. Under whatever conditions, PalmCo will always stand with the community,” said Jatmiko K Santosa.
The medical service, which was held in Batang Toru District, South Tapanuli Regency, North Sumatra Province, also involved “Srikandi PalmCo”, namely the PalmCo female employee community, to ensure that vulnerable groups, such as women, children and the elderly received priority treatment.
The Company has established two emergency posts, located in Afdeling I Kebun Hapesong and Afdeling V Kebun Marpinggan, which are now evacuation centers for more than 1,200 refugees affected by the disaster.
In Afdeling I Kebun Hapesong, the medical team led by Dr. Mery Marlina Hasibuan served around 550 refugees.Two midwives, namely Mayasari and Wirna Juliani Batubara, were also alerted to monitor the health of mothers and children who were also affected by the disaster.
PalmCo Finance Director Hilda Savitri, who visited the refugee camp directly, said that her party was not only focusing on technical handling, but also ensuring that social aspects ran optimally amidst the emergency conditions.
“We ensure full support, from health to supplies of basic needs. No resident should be neglected,” said Hilda Savitri.
Apart from medical services, the company also distributes logistical assistance in the form of basic necessities, clean water, medicine and blankets, through coordination with the local village government so that the aid is distributed on target.
The Village Head, Simatohir Juniadi Tree, appreciated the assistance which was considered to be very helpful in easing the burden on residents affected by the disaster.
“This assistance is very meaningful. Residents feel they are not alone in facing this situation,” he said again.
