Puan said that her party would follow up on the decision and discuss it with other DPR leaders.
“Because the points are reduced, there should be a reduction in the budget. That’s why I will discuss the consequences of this decision first with other leaders,” said Puan at the parliament complex, Thursday (6/11).

Previously, Deputy Speaker of the DPR, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, revealed that the MKD’s decision to cut the number of recess points from 26 to 22 points would also cut recess funds for council members.
Dasco explained that after the decision, the recess funds would be around IDR 500 million from the original IDR 702 million.
“There has been a reduction in the cost component from IDR 702 [million] to only IDR 500 [million],” said Dasco when contacted, Thursday
Meanwhile, DPR Secretary General (Sekjen) Indra Iskandar admitted that he was still waiting for a physical copy of the MKD decision regarding reducing recess points.
Indra admitted that previously there was talk of increasing the number of visiting points for DPR members’ recess.According to him, so far DPR members have had great responsibilities in their electoral districts, while their activities have been limited.
However, said Indra, the MKD’s decision will be a reference in future evaluations with the DPR leadership.
“Later, after the MKD decision, what the direction will be, of course I will speak after there is direction from the DPR leadership,” he said.
