This claim refers to the Consumer Confidence Index in Government Performance (IKKP) exhibited by Purbaya.According to him, in June 2025-September 2025 the index fell to a very low level and showed public dissatisfaction.
“So it’s very easy for them (the people) to take to the streets. So, if we don’t restore the economy, we are in a dangerous situation. It’s not just the DPR, the government is also the main one,” said Purbaya at a Working Meeting (Raker) with Commission XI of the DPR RI in Central Jakarta, Thursday (27/11).

Purbaya emphasized that people’s optimism finally grew after he transferred idle government money worth IDR 200 trillion plus IDR 70 trillion from Bank Indonesia (BI) to banks.That was Purbaya’s initial policy after being appointed by President Prabowo Subianto as Minister of Finance on Monday (8/9), replacing Sri Mulyani.
He claimed that in the end the IKKP reversed direction, even reaching the level of 118.0 in November 2025. Minister of Finance Purbaya claimed that the figure for consumer confidence in the government’s performance was the highest in history.

“We can ensure faster economic growth. If we can maintain this, next year (2026) we can grow 6 percent without too much difficulty,” he said.
