revealed that Rp. 40 trillion of the total Rp. 60 trillion in village funds per year is used to pay in installments for the development of Village Cooperatives (
Kopdes
) Red and White.
“Village funds from IDR 60 trillion, around IDR 40 trillion for Red and White Cooperative installments over the next 6 years. So, IDR 40 trillion, IDR 40 trillion, up to 6 years,” he said in a Media Briefing at the Ministry of Finance, Central Jakarta, Friday (14/11).
“To pay the debt of IDR 240 trillion which was used to build 80 thousand Red and White Cooperatives,” continued Purbaya.

He explained that PT Agrinas Pangan would later borrow money from state-owned banks to build the Red and White Kopdes infrastructure.
The payment is paid in installments of IDR 40 trillion every year through village funds.
Minister of Cooperatives (Menkop) Ferry Juliantono revealed that the physical development of the Red and White Kopdes was an important part of accelerating the people’s economic program run by the government.
Agrinas and TNI are working together to build a cooperative so that the process of building warehouses, outlets and other supporting facilities can be completed quickly and efficiently.
The state-owned company is considered to have the capacity and ability to implement projects professionally and has collaborated with the TNI to accelerate it in the field.
Nevertheless, Ferry admits that there are still a number of challenges in land acquisition.Several locations recorded did not fully meet the requirements, both in terms of area and strategic position.
“Cooperatives do not yet have the capacity for construction work. Therefore, we are working with PT Agrinas and the TNI so that construction can be completed more quickly,” explained Ferry when met at the Coordinating Ministry for Food, Central Jakarta, Monday (27/10).
Physical construction of the Red and White Kopdes has begun at thousands of points and continues to increase in line with the land verification process carried out by the central government together with regional governments.
