“We will try to propose internships (vocational school graduates) to the Minister of Manpower (Yassierli) to think about vocational school graduates,” said Purbaya at a working meeting (Raker) with Commission XI DPR RI in Central Jakarta, Thursday (27/11).
“I also think it’s true that vocational schools must be paid attention to. The most important thing is that we create jobs for vocational schools. If the economy grows like it is now, it will be difficult, but in the future I think vocational school graduates will soon be able to get jobs relatively easily compared to yesterday,” he continued.

The State Treasurer emphasized that currently the government has only prepared special training for prospective workers.He said that the vocational program in the era of President Prabowo Subianto was quite significant, but he did not elaborate further on what it meant.
Apart from this, the government recently launched an apprenticeship program as part of the “8+4+5” stimulus package.The incentive was announced by the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto, after a meeting with President Prabowo Subianto at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta, Monday (15/9).
Internship participants are college graduates, either diploma or undergraduate programs, who have not worked for a maximum of 1 year after graduating.They have the right to pocket a salary equivalent to the provincial minimum wage (UMP) where they intern.
Separately, the Director General of Economic and Fiscal Strategy at the Ministry of Finance, Febrio Kacaribu, explained that the government had prepared a budget for 100 thousand fresh graduate apprentices.
“We have actually prepared around 100 thousand (UMP salary internship vacancies), but we will evaluate the 20 thousand first. Once we see that the evaluation is good, if there is something that needs to be repaired, we will fix it first,” said Febrio at the 2025 Media Gathering at the Directorate General of Taxes’ Office, South Jakarta, Thursday (9/10).
Based on the announcement from the official Instagram account @kemnaker, this internship program has entered Batch 3.
Prospective apprentice participants can register and try their luck from 4 December 2025 to 7 December 2025.
