Putin said that Indonesia and Russia’s economic relations had developed consistently over the 75 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
“Economic and trade relations also developed during the first nine months of this year. Trade value rose 17 percent,” said Putin during a meeting with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto in Moscow, Russia, Wednesday (10/12).

Therefore, he offers cooperation in various sectors.In the energy sector, he offered to involve his country in developing Indonesia’s nuclear energy.
“There are many prospects in the energy sector, including nuclear energy. I know that Indonesia has related plans, and if Indonesia decides to involve Russia we are ready to help,” said Putin.
Putin also said that Russia has many interesting projects for industrial cooperation, including in the agricultural sector.
“In industry we also have many projects, in agriculture too. Wheat supplies have indeed fallen slightly from Russia to Indonesia, we can also discuss that today,” he said.
Putin also offered cooperation in the technical military field.Indonesia and Russia are said to have long-standing relations in this field.
On the other hand, Putin also strongly welcomed Indonesia’s full membership in BRICS, as well as negotiations between Indonesia and the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) regarding a free trade agreement.
“Your Excellency Mr. President, I have said quite a lot of things that have important meaning for our two countries. We are very happy to see you here,” said Putin.
