supports proposals to impose a complete ban on the sale of e-cigarettes or
vape
in Russia.
During his visit to a sports and education center in Samara on Thursday (6/11), Putin met with the head of the Healthy Homeland movement, Ekaterina Leshchinskaya.

At that time, Leshchinskaya voiced this issue by using other countries as successful examples of countries that think about the health of their citizens.
In response, Putin nodded in agreement and stated that the government supported this proposal.

Last August, Putin supported a pilot project in Nizhny Novgorod to test a regional ban on vape sales.This concept has been supported by the consumer protection agency Rospotrebnadzor.
The idea of a vape ban itself has recently received attention in the Russian parliament.The chairman of the State Duma, Vyacheslav Volodin, said vaping is “liquid poison” and warned of the health risks it poses.
“Vapes are evil. The State Duma will review the ban on the sale of vapes in the near future,” said Deputy Chairman of the State Duma, Vladislav Davankov, following Putin’s statement.
According to estimates quoted by RIA Novosti, around 3.5 to 4 million Russians currently use e-cigarettes.
A number of parties have criticized that the ban on vape sales risks encouraging illicit trade practices.Russia’s Finance Ministry also warned a full ban could result in annual revenue losses of up to 15 billion rubles.
Even so, parliament believes that public health is the most important thing.
